I received the coasters as part of the Stellar product testing panel. When they arrived, I liked the minimal packaging - just a small paper tag and raffia wrapping. No plastic, nothing wasteful! I appreciated the tag and brief message/picture of the woman who had made them. Out of the package at first they had a slight odor to them - like natural grass, but once I had them out in my house I didn't notice it again. For a hand-made item, they are consistent in appearance. There are very, very small variations between the coasters - far less than I would've expected from a handmade item. The coasters are very sturdy, I felt confident putting any glass on them - even the most delicate of my wine glasses. I was also hesitant to use them on my glossy-finish wood end table, just because they were natural fibers and I was afraid of scratches, but so far that hasn't been an issue. Overall, I have been very pleased. They fit in well with all my decor items from travels around the world and even better to support artisans who do quality work.

These coasters are so nice! The neutral toned colors go well with my color scheme, and they are well made. They look beautiful on my end table. I love that they were hand crafted, and that the company’s mission is helping to support and improve the lives of these artisans through fair wages.
