"When there's a steady order, we're very happy because it makes us financially stable.

It means our children under the age of 18 don't have to be working with us."

Meet Our Ghana Team

Our Ghana team is based in Bolgatanga, and is unique because we have a brother and a sister in leadership: Olivia and Oliver. And no, they are not twins - though they sound like it! Our Ghanian products are made by both men and women, with each gender specializing in a different weaving technique... and neither gender will make the other type.

It rains hard for six months of the year, and our teams commonly find themselves in the field and drenched and enjoying the wet ride home!

Eunice

"Eunice Aduko Asakesina is my name. Am 47 years old, and am from Zuawrungu in Bolgatanga. I have 4 children. I have been working with Kazi for 5 years now. My main occupation is weaving and farming. With my income from weaving with Kazi, I have been able to invest in livestock and also open a shop in which I trade daily needs. Kazi has helped me improve my living standard and also support my children."

Daniel

"My name is Nyaaba Daniel Noah. I’m 36 years old and live in a remote village known as Nyariga. Weaving is my main source of income for my family. I’m married with two kids, a boy and a girl. I have been working with Kazi for the past 5 years, which has been a life changing experience for me and my family. With the consistency of orders, I have bought myself a tricycle which to convey goods daily from the village to the market center. This gives us extra money to take care of my family by giving us good health care, education, food, etc. Also, we have been able to establish livestock (Cattle, Goat, Sheep) as a support for my family."

Assibi

"My name is Assibi Anaba from Bolga, in the Upper West region of Ghana. I am 44 years old, married with four children. I have been working with Kazi for 6 years now. I learned weaving from my mother at the age of 17. Because of Kazi's encouragement on savings and investment, I have been able to establish a store that gives me a second income to support my family. It was difficult to survive during the dry seasons when we were not able to farm. But now because of my trade and weaving, my living condition is now much better. My family is happy."
