After serving bread or other dried foods, turn the product upside down and shake and tap to release crumbs and residue. Avoid using chemicals or detergents.

Sun and fading - Due to being all natural fibers, keep dyed products out of direct sunlight for long periods of time to avoid natural fading. All natural products with little or no coloring do well in direct sunlight.

We are the first of 5 companies to receive the highly regarded Nest Seal. Every year we undergo an onsite audit in each country and with each cooperative to earn the right to mark our products with this important seal.

When you see the Nest Seal you have the confidence to know products have been ethically handcrafted in a home or small workshop. This means fair wages are paid, good working conditions are provided, there are no children or forced labor in the workforce, materials are traced and fairly sourced and all aspects of the production and material processes (like dyeing) are in consideration of the environment and safe working environments.

Gorgeous and durable

I’ve usually stuck to glass vases, but this vessel is truly one of a kind. The colors are beautiful and is super sturdy. I love that it’s handmade. Our home decor is pretty neutral, so this pounce brings some much welcome character. The description says you can use it for kitchen utensils or other supplies, but keep in mind it’s rather tall. There’s a little glass vase inside that makes it easy to drop in a plant. I also absolutely love Kazi’s mission and that this product has such a wonderful history vs buying something from a retailer.I received this product as part of the Stellar product testing panel.

Unique and so beautiful!

I received the Pastel Vessel - 12" Gourd through the Stellar Product Testing Panel to give an honest review of it. First off, this product was PERFECT for me as I am a huge believer in supporting artisans and those trying to make an honest living through their talent and artistic abilities. The colors are perfectly Fall for my taste/style. I put some artificial branches in it and it’s a beautiful addition to my living room. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Handcrafted Vessel

I was given this 12" gourd vessel to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel but i am excited to purchase additional pieces. The vessel quality is amazing- there are no loose fibers and it’s very sturdy. Its very versatile I have placed it ins few spots around my house to find the Percy area. It has a glass vase inside to hold stems but I think it would look great with decorative branches or feathers. What’s even more beautiful than the vessel it’s mission and story. The Kazi story is really incredible and should make anyone feel good about owning one of their products.

Cool piece

I was excited to receive this Kazi Gourd Vessel from the Stellar Product Testing panel. It felt like a real treat because I tend to be very frugal with home purchases. I did some research on the company, Kazi, as I had not heard of it before. Kazi means “employment” in Swahili, and the website says “At KAZI, we’re bringing you beautiful pieces that add life to your space and empower artisans to weave a better story for themselves.” The company states that they are committed to fair wage jobs and sustainable materials. These are values that are important to me as a consumer, and I believe they should be commended for this. I looked up the vessel on the website because I really wasn’t sure what to do with it. It’s a beautifully crafted piece, woven in Rwanda. I saw some reviews that said you can put flowers in it, but mine did not have the glass insert, so that won’t be possible for me with real flowers. I think it would make a stunning centerpiece filled with dried or faux florals, however, and would be a really wonderful reminder of how we can all give thanks for our privileges and be mindful to strive for ethical business practices that support people all over the world. The tag says you could also store a bottle of wine in it but I don’t think a regular size bottle would fit. I think this material would be really nice in perhaps a different shape or size if you wanted it to be practical. I love the way the piece smells and it is perfect for someone who has a very organic, natural materials type of aesthetic for their home. I am really interested in the holiday ornaments on the website and am going to take another look!

A Work of Art!

Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was able to receive this cool basket in the mail. The colors match my style and I love that the basket is not the perfect shape. It looks like an artist made it and not just something you'd buy at target or home goods. It is unique and stylish. I have only used it as a decorative piece and could see myself putting some cool branches in it. Though it comes with a glass vase, I don't know that I'll use it for fresh flowers unless they match somewhat or have longer stems... maybe some white hydrangea... Overall quality is great. I love that this is one of a kind and I would much rather support an artist and Kazi's mission than give more money to the large corporations. Now, I just need to get a few more of these cool pieces so my basket doesn't look so lonely!
